Our team of Primary Care advisors work closely with us to ensure Pri-Med Updates deliver the highest quality learning experience possible. They also act as Chairmen at our meetings.

	Dr Stuart Bootle GP and Health Care Consultant, Goyt Valley Medical Practice Stuart is an expert at implementing health service directives such as the NHS plan, NSFs, NICE guidelines and Practice Based Commissioning.
	Dr Stewart Findlay PEC Chairman, Durham Dales PCT Stewart was responsible for setting up nurse led CHD and Heart Failure clinics across Durham Dales PCT to great effect on patient management. He is current Treasurer of the Primary Care Cardiovascular Society.
	Dr Jim Kennedy GP Principal & Medical Director of Take Care Now James Kennedy, Medical Director of Take Care Now, an independent healthcare company in Suffolk and a GP Principal in Suffolk. He is a national clinical lead for the Inpatient Diabetes project at the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement and Prescribing spokesperson of the RCGP.
	Dr Gordon Martin GP Maryhill Health Centre, Glasgow Gordon is GP principal at Maryhill Health centre and is an acknowledged expert in provision of primary care services amongst children and young people with learning disabilities.
	Dr Raj Patel PEC Chair, Tameside & Glossop PCT Raj currently chairs the Greater Manchester SHA network of PEC chairs and is evangelical about physician involvement in the clinical direction and strategy of the PCT. He has a special interest in dermatology and is a regular health commentator on television and in print media.
	Dr Nick Plant Practice Based Commissioning Cluster Lead and GP, Summerhill Surgery, Kingswinford Nick is PCT clinical lead in mental health and care of the elderly, as evidenced by his focus on the management of 800 care home residents and intermediate care. He is Northwest Cluster Lead in Practice Based Commissioning.
	Dr John Steyn General Practitioner, Edinburgh, Clinical eHealth Adviser, NHS Lothian John has more than 20 years experience in a large urban practice with over 25% elderly patients. In addition to the challenge of implementing the GMS Contract in this environment he is also the Clinical eHealth / IM&T Adviser for NHS Lothian
	Dr Michael Taylor SPA Chairman Michael is a General Practitioner in Heywood, Lancashire. He has a national profile as an advocate and campaigner for the benefits of patient focus, holism and relational continuity. His special interest areas are in addiction and pain management.
